دعوة إلى حفلة مع النملة

- سقطت رزة وكسرة خبز عبرت عنهما قدم طفلة
- أما الأرض ففيها شقّ لا يُرى من أول وهلة
- كان بيتاً كان مأوى لجارة صغيرة، إنها النملة
- قالت صاحبتنا هذي وليمةٌ، سأدعو أترابي لأجمل حفلة
- لبّى الدعوة جمعٌ ممن يحبون هذه الأكلة
- قالت لهم النملةُ: انتظروا مهلاً مهلا
- هذي الكسرة نتشاركها لا أطيب منها ولا أحلى
- وهذي الرزة ما أكبرها! على قلبي هي الأغلى
- تهيّؤوا لنقضم ما أتانا بالبشر وعلينا حلّ
- نأكل حتى نشبعَ ونحمل ما يبقى حملا
- نتحادث، نتسامر، نزداد محبة ووصلا
- من سيغني؟ من سيشدو فيزيدنا فرحاً وأملاً
- صحابي، بلمّتنا هذي تزداد حارتنا فضلا
- وبتعاوننا نتقارب، نتحابّ، ونحسن عملاً
- من دونكم لا يحلو طعم الرزق، بل يبلى
- مممممممم، فلنأكل ما طاب معا ونحتفلَ
- ولنحذر أقدام عمالقةٍ تهوي على الأرض من الأعلى
- اخفضوا صوتكم لألّا يسمع منّا أولئك قولا
- ما يبقى من رزقٍ نحمله معاً، فيصير حملاً سهلا
- ومن يعثرْ على رزقٍ غداً فليدعُنا، إذ صِرنا اليوم أهلا
English Translation
- A grain of rice and a crumb of bread fell—walked over by the foot of a little girl.
- As for the ground, it held a crack—one not visible at first glance.
- It was a home; it was a shelter for a tiny neighbor—the little ant.
- Our friend declared: “This is a feast! I shall invite my peers to the most wonderful party!”
- A crowd of those who loved this fare answered the call.
- The ant said to them: “Wait—hold on just a moment!
- “We shall share this crumb together; nothing is tastier or sweeter.
- “And this grain of rice—how huge it is! To my heart, it is the most precious treasure.
- “Prepare yourselves! Let us nibble at the bounty that has come to us with joy and ease.
- “We shall eat until we are full, and carry back whatever remains.
- “We shall converse, we shall share stories, and grow ever closer in love and fellowship.
- “Who will sing? Who will chant a melody to fill us with even greater joy and hope?
- “My friends, through this gathering of ours, our neighborhood becomes a place of even greater grace.
- “And through our cooperation, we draw closer, we love one another, and do good.
- “Without you, the taste of this sustenance would hold no sweetness; indeed, it would go bad
- “Mmmm… let us eat this delicious food together and celebrate!
- “But let us beware the feet of giants, stomping down upon the earth from above.
- “And Lower your voices, lest the predators overhear our chatter.
- “Whatever remains of this bounty, we shall carry together—and so, the burden becomes light.
- “And should any of you stumble upon a find tomorrow, invite us—for today, we have proven ourselves worthy companions.”
